Understanding Dyslexia in Tasmania: A Survey for Students, Families, Educators and Professionals

Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to complete this short survey. Your feedback will help us better support Tasmanians with dyslexia.

Dyslexia is defined as "a specific learning disability characterised by difficulties in word reading and/or spelling that involve accuracy, speed, or both and vary depending on the orthography. These difficulties occur along a continuum of severity and persist even with instruction that is effective for the individual’s peers." For the full definition visit the 2025 IDA Definition Explanation.

Your responses will help us improve parent support, resources, educator professional learning, and advocacy for better outcomes for children and young people with dyslexia in Tasmania.

Your privacy is important to us. Responses will be confidential and no identifying information will be included in any reports resulting from this survey. Providing contact details is optional, and you may choose not to provide them. Your information will not be shared with third parties.
