2022 Athens Area Stand Down - "Stand Up, for Stand Down"

Athens Area Stand Down is held annually the first Friday in October at the Athens County Fairgrounds. This year Friday, October 7th.

The event will start for Veterans only from 10:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with general admission for all those in need from 12:00-2:00

This event offers assistance, services and information to those whom are homeless, veterans, and those at risk of homelessness. All services are offered at the generosity of area businesses, community services partners and volunteers like YOU. This event is free and open to the public.

We will continue to follow all state, county and city COVID-19 health and safety guidelines in place on the day of the event. Some supplies and service information flyers/brochures will be pre-packaged from our community partners, but barring restrictions we will have community partners and other new goods available on site this year as we return to a walk through event.
