Kids Hub Survey

The South Australian Department of Health and Wellbeing are creating something new for children, young people and families - a space shaped by the kind of experiences children and families want to have when reaching out for support. At Kids Hub, children up to 12 years of age will receive free mental health and wellbeing support in a safe and welcoming space, without the need of a referral or Medicare card. More information about Kids Hub can be found here.

As part of this, LELAN and TACSI are reaching out to children and families, and people with lived experience of accessing supports during that period, to guide the way the Kids Hub team, service and space show up to you in your community. This will lead to us adapting the 'Philosophy of Care' used by a number of adult mental health services in SA or creating a new one for the Kids Hub's.

We'd love for you to share your ideas and experiences to help us. We ask that you reflect from the perspective of what it's been like for you:
  • As a young person who is currently being supported by child and youth mental health or wellbeing services.
  • As a young person who has previously sought support from child and youth mental health or wellbeing services.
  • As a family member or other caregiver currently supporting a child or young person to access child and youth mental health or wellbeing services.
  • As a family member or other caregiver who has previously supported a child or young person to access child and youth mental health services.
  • A person with lived experience of accessing mental health and wellbeing support or services as a child or young person in the past.
  • A person with lived experience that could have benefited as a child or young person had this type of service existed when you were younger.
