EVENT INFORMATION:

The Isa Festival will be held this year over two nights, 10 and 11 August.

On Tuesday 10th August Council will be hosting a FREE Concert at the Rugby Union Oval (off Alma Street) from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Talent includes Daryl Braithwaite, Luke Geiger & Barebacks and Natalie Pearson.

On Wednesday 11th August Council will host a Street Party in the CBD which includes a Street Parade at 6:00 pm. 

Local and Visiting Stalls are invited to participate.

Please note the following:
- We try to accommodate everyone, however space is limited, therefore we can't guarantee a spot at the event/s 
- The Free Concert is taking place in a sporting oval and we need to look after the field, therefore some larger, heavier vans/trailers/trucks won't be able to be accommodated at the Tuesday night event

All Stalls will need to supply their own lighting, it is recommended that you have a marquee that is lit with battery lights to illuminate your stall.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

* 17. I confirm that I have read and agree to abide by the Mount Isa City Council Terms and Conditions (as provided below) to hold a STALL at the Mount Isa City Council Isa Festival, being held 10-11 August 2021.

Terms and Conditions for Stallholders
  1. Council may accept or reject any expression of interest at its absolute discretion. Preference will be given to local stallholders and selection will be made to ensure a cross-section of products and varieties.
  2. Expressions of Interest close Thursday 22nd July at 5pm.
  3. Applicants will be notified by email of the status of their application.
  4. Applicants must provide a copy of their Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance with this form to be considered.
  5. Applicants must read and agree to the Terms and Conditions before submitting their application.
Use of Stall
  1. The Stallholder must comply with COVID Safe requirements
  2. Information regarding bump in times, your site number and a map will be emailed to you prior to the event.
  3. Mount Isa City Council reserves the right to move your stall location at the stall bump in time due to any unforeseen circumstances.
  4. Stallholders are required to supply their own lighting.
  5. NO vehicles are to be left on site without prior permission.
  6. Stallholders must conduct themselves in a proper, polite and orderly manner at all times.
  7. Stalls must be kept in a clean and tidy condition and remove all rubbish from the site prior to departure.
  8. The Stallholder must only sell the products as specified within this form. The stallholder must obtain the consent of Council prior to varying products sold, which may be granted or withheld at Council’s absolute discretion. Applicants who are found to be selling items not previously provided and approved by the Mount Isa City Council and conflicts with another stallholder, will be required to remove said item(s) from the stall.
  9. The Stallholder is responsible for ensuring that it conforms to any Australian standards.
  10. All goods and merchandise offered for sale or sold by Stallholders must comply with relevant safety and compliance standards.
  11. Any loss of perishables or merchandise will be the sole responsibility of the stallholder.
  12. We encourage all stallholders to decorate/ brand their stall to ensure maximum exposure and to assist in creating a family atmosphere throughout the event.
  13. By having a food, market or information stall at the 2021 Isa Festival, you agree that you are not in any contractual conflict with any other market or organisation, nor are you prohibited from trading for any other reason. The Mount Isa City Council can be in no way held liable for any losses or legal action taken against you if you are held in breach from any existing or previous contracts or agreements.
Public Liability
  1. All Stallholders must have current public liability insurance to the value of $10 million. You will need to provide the Mount Isa City Council with a Certificate of Currency from your insurance company in the name of the Stallholder with Mount Isa City Council noted as an interested party. Please attach a copy to this expression of interest.
  2. All insurance, tax, work cover liabilities and loss or theft of property shall be the responsibility of the operator.
Electrical Requirements
  1. Stallholders using more electrical appliances than outlined on their expression of interest form will be required to unplug and cease use of the additional appliances.
  2. Stallholders must provide their own electrical cords, leads and power boards.
  3. All electrical appliances must be tested and tagged.
  4. All Stallholders are responsible for ensuring all their electrical cords and leads do not pose a trip hazard and are solely responsible for providing cable traps/covers where required.
Release and Indemnity
The Stallholder uses the site at the Stallholders own risk and releases Council to the extent permitted by law, against all liability and loss in connection with the stall and equipment, including where the Council terminates the use of the stall for any reason whatsoever. The Stallholder expressly indemnifies the Mount Isa City Council against all loss and liability in connection with the stall including any damage caused to the stall or any loss, injury or death to any person in or about the stall.

Collection of Personal Information

Mount Isa City Council is collecting your personal information on this form in order to comply with its responsibilities and obligations as a Local Government. The information will only be accessed by authorised Council employees who have a legitimate need for the information to process applications, requests etc. Your personal information will not be given to any other person or agency unless you have given us permission to do so or we are required to do so by law.
