Our Negotiating Team is beginning to prepare for collective bargaining: developing strategies, and writing proposals for the upcoming round of contract negotiations. This year, more than 75,000 of our 90,000 AUPE members are involved in the bargaining process. All rounds of bargaining affecting public sector workers – from government to health to education – will be scrutinized closely, so it is important to base the proposals we bring to the table in the defined needs of our membership.

Our current Collective Agreement expired at the end of June 2017 and our Negotiating Team needs to know what issues are important to you, the members of AUPE Local 039 at SAIT.

Words matter! A collective agreement enshrines and applies the guidelines on everything that is important and necessary to us each and every day in the workplace. The value of strong and effective collective agreement language is paramount to successfully administering and defending our collective agreement.

This survey is very important because it will provide guidance, assist in planning and establish clear and compelling priorities for our Negotiating Team. Please take the time to complete the online survey.

It's your Collective Agreement! Help your Negotiating Team make it better.
