Dear Study Participant,
You are eligible to participate in this study if you are 19 years old or older and are conversant in English. [Note: If you are 18, you must have your parents sign the Research Exposure Sheet prior to participation; these are available from your researcher or from the UNO Psychology Dept (554-2592)]. Your participation in the survey indicates your consent. This study consists of two parts-an online survey and an in-class session. Once the online portion is complete, you will be asked to choose one of the many sessions of the in class portion of the study. The online portion will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete, and the in class portion of the study will take between 1-2 hours to finish. Your participation in this study will result in your receipt of one $10 gift certificate to Netshops.com following the online questionnaire completion and $20 cash following completion of the in class portion of the study.
For those of you interested and able to participate in this study, we want you to know how much we appreciate your time and effort. Your honest and conscientious responding to the questionnaires and other materials that are part of this study will enable us to answer many questions in the arena of creativity and problem solving behavior. There are two categories of tasks you will be asked to do: (1) respond to several questionnaires; and (2) complete some problem solving activities.
There are no known risks to participating in this study, and all information will be kept confidential. Once you have completed the materials, all lists linking your name to an identification number will be destroyed. Please read carefully all the instructions on the online survey.
