Welcome to the NatureSDIplus – User Survey!

NatureSDIplus – an EU Best Practice Network project

The establishment of Natura 2000 and the new cross-border EU approach for protected sites management has enforced the link between nature conservation and geoinformation. This has generated the need for interoperable, accessible and harmonised datasets for the EU. The NatureSDIplus project is a Best Practice Network project in the context of the eContentplus Initiative of the EU (www.nature-sdi.eu), which pursues an EU Spatial Data Infrastructure (INSPIRE) to support environmental policies.

We need YOUR expertise to make nature conservation data better accessible and exploitable for the users!

The added value of interoperable data sets is given if technical solutions meet the requirements of what is needed by the user, i.e. each EU citizen. The GIScience Institute at the Austrian Academy of Sciences is responsible for the survey of user requirements as an essential base for the current INSPIRE implementation process.

To reach the aim of harmonised and interoperable datasets in nature conservation, we need your contribution.

The survey is devided in different sections and is expected to take about 30 minutes of your time. Any questions marked with an asterisk (*) require an answer in order to advance you through the survey and/or skip questions as needed.
