Share Responses

Sharing Responses enables you to provide direct access to your survey results without giving access to your account. The results link you provide updates as your results do!  It's almost like accessing the Analyze portion of your survey from directly within your account, but you're in control.

How will my results be displayed?  

You set the "shared" access of your survey results. You decide to share your Summary Results only or provide access to all of your individual survey results, or All Responses. In addition, you have the option of allowing others to use the Filter feature and/or the Downloading features when they are accessing your Shared Results.

How do I set up sharing my results?  

From the Analyze section of your survey, click the [Share Responses] button from the navigation menu to enable sharing your survey results. Select:

  • Enable or Disable sharing results
  • Configure the link to share survey results, or
  • Password protect your survey results

The Share Responses Page provides these options

  • Sharing Disabled
  • Share Summary of Responses Only
  • Share Summary of Responses + View Open-Ended Responses
  • Share Summary of Responses + View and Browse Individual Responses (admin view)

Sharing responses is disabled until you activate the shared responses report.

 

Share Summary Response Only

Selecting Share only Summary of Responses will open the link to provide others direct access to your summary results. With this setting, only the 'Response Summary' of your results is accessible - those accessing the link see what you see when viewing the Summary Results page.

 

Share Summary of Responses + View Open-Ended Responses

Selecting 'Share Summary of Responses + View Open-Ended Responses' enables access to browsing open ended questions and the individual surveys.

 

Share Summary of Responses + View and Browse Individual Responses (admin view)

This is the full administrator view of the responses. With the full administrative view, you have the option of Allowing Filtering of Responses and Allowing Downloading of Responses. To enable either or both of these options, select them. To disable these options at any time, just de-select the boxes.

Note: It is not possible to 'lock' a filter to your results link. To hide specific or sensitive information in a survey, please see this help topic: Hide Sensitive Data.

 

Password:  Password Protection 

To add a password and restrict access of the shared report, select Password Protect Shared Responses.This will open the configurations and options for applying your password. Click the [Save Password Changes] button to save your password settings if applied. 

Password Settings

  1. Clicking 'Password Protect Shared Responses' will open the configuration setting for the password.
  2. Enter your password in the password field.   information.gif Passwords are case sensitive.
  3. Modify password label, submit button label, password required message, and/or password failed message.
  4. Click the [Save Password Changes] button to save your password settings for the link.

Click [Save Changes] to apply settings and activate link

Once you have completed changing the display options and password protection settings, click the [save changes] button to save and activate your Share Responses link.

Idea! Tips

 To show your survey results when respondent's complete your survey, use the share results link as survey redirect option under the Collector Settings.

  When you enable filtering for the link, it does not add the filter to the share results link as you may see the filtered results within your account. Those that receive the share results link with filtering enabled see all of the survey results, but they do have the option of creating filters to sort the data. Here's a work-around option for you to send only your filtered results.

Common Questions

Question
Why do answered questions appear as skipped ?
If I (myself) answer the questions, then do a refresh at the shared response link, the shared results indicate that I have skipped the questions when in fact I have not. Why is this? Do the results automatically update in the shared results link or is a refresh required?
 Support Answer
It takes 15 minutes for the share results link to update. Responses recorded in your survey are not immediately visible in the share results link. Please allow 15 minutes for your results to display in the share results link. You must refresh the Share Results link to see the new responses.
