Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Regional Meeting 2011

Welcome to the registration form for the 2011 Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Regional Meeting titled "The Land, Our Life: Food, Faith, & Dignity". The conference will take place from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Mount Mary Retreat Centre located at 437 Wilson Street East, Ancaster, ON, L9G 3K4. The phone number for the retreat centre is (905) 648‐4485. The early bird discount registration is July 15, 2011; below you can select options and see what discounts are applicable. Registration for the conference will close September 15, 2011.

This year’s conference will be exploring the spiritual nature of food both from an Indigenous and non-Indigenous perspective in addition to looking at how food connects us to creation and community.

This year we are welcoming 2 keynote speakers. Rick Hill will give us an overview of Haudenosaunee (Six Nations Iroquois) philosophy and practice in manifesting the obligations to nature and the reciprocal nature of that relationship. Ted Zettel is an organic dairy farmer and a cofounder of Organic Meadow Co-op. He will approach our theme from an organic farming perspective.
